Welcome on "PHILOSOPHIA-NATURALIS"
My name is Philippe Sainte-Laudy, I am 48 years old and I live near Strasbourg in France.
My goal in the world of photography is to strive for originality, and create my images into an artform.
Photographer by passion for years, I like in particular the photography of landscape and nature generally.
Always in search of the best light and of the most original angle, I "hunt" all the time the most beautiful places which surround me.
I also like optimizing and working my images with software as: Photoshop, Aperture or Lightroom.
The beauty of nature is all around us at all times, but there are brief moments when a combination of elements present themselves in a truly spectacular way.
Anybody who is fortunate enough to witnesses one of these events will look back fondly upon the memory.
And they are even more fortunate if they happen to have a camera ready to record the event.
In order to be in the right place at the right time, it is necessary to understand the complex interactions between light, weather, landscape, the tides, plants, and animals.
And it is important to have a deep respect for this planet and its inhabitants.
I hope that photography can bring people closer to nature and encourage them to preserve it for future generations.
This website showcases my very best nature fine art photographs. They have been created in-camera under the best light conditions possible for hanging on the walls of your home or corporate office.
I often wait for weeks for conditions to be just right.

It's lovely to see your website with so many unbelievably beautiful images - your photography and digital studio techniques have produced awe inspiring pieces I truly adore, thank you Philippe. Below is the website url of a project I am working on to test/practice my website development skills (it isn't finished yet - it is my first since starting my Web Apps Dev Certificate which I finish summer 2009) I hope soon to have some wonderful photographs of Winchester displayed on its pages (I am still practising).

Wow.
That's the first thing I said when I saw these pictures. You have an incredible set of portfolios, Monsieur Saint-Laudy, and I am proud to say that after finding it [by typing 'reflective photography' on Google] you will be a great inspiration to me for the next several months. As a senior in high school enrolled in a higher-level photograph class, I have to choose a concentration to submit to a national art board in May, for them to grade and possibly give me college credit. I chose reflections about a month ago, and I am slowly working on my own portfolio. Seeing these photographs from you -- wonderful and beautiful pieces -- I feel much more prepared to expand my perception of where reflections can come from.
I'll keep my eye out on other subjects too; but thank YOU for your passion.
